Marshelle Cartwright IS A Family Photographer serving the Metropolitan Detroit Area

HELLO & WELCOME!

Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm so excited for you to get to know me and my work. Simply put, photography is my passion! Many years ago, my beloved late husband purchased my first camera for me.

I have been in love with it (or the art form) ever since. My goal is to assist you in creating portraits for you to enjoy and show off and to create a legacy of portraits to pass on for generations to come. The reason that goal is so near and dear to my heart is because I was never able to see photographs of 3 of my grand parents.

I have a single photo of my paternal grandmother. It's a blessing to be able to look at vintage photos and compare likenesses of those who have gone on before us.

Some fun things about me:

I love to travel! I was terrified of airplanes for the longest time. The first time I flew was for my job. The longest flight I've taken was to St. Thomas. It was a breeze.

I love TV! I've binge watched The Handmaid's Tale, The Me You Don't See, Ozark and Game of Thrones. Haven't had time lately though!

When I was in junior high (middle school to the young folk), I ran track and could out run ALL the boys in my class.

I'm an avid reader and have been a member of a book club for 29 years.

Oh, and I'm short in stature. For the longest time I was told I was 4ft. 11 3/4 inches. Ha! I was measured recently and was told I'm 5 ft tall!!

let's talk
